What does a typical day for you guys look like…
Weekends are full of fun with adults and kids taking part in all our activities. Mid week we run lots of school activities, differently abled groups and other great groups. We also work with lots of emergency services training them in swift water rescue.
What is the weather like in Cardiff at the moment? (14th June)
It’s sunny today but we have lots of different weather, but it does not stop us getting out on the water!
Do you have many problems regarding ocean plastics where you paddle?
We are at the bottom of a fresh water river and we do see lots of plastic pollution including litter blowing in from the city. We do our very best to clear up and re-cycle.
We know that you love the ocean and are super passionate about taking care of it, what types of activities do you get up to in order to keep your oceans clean and protected?
We do regular cleans around the centre and the area. We work with Surfers Against Sewage to raise money and also spread the message to our visitors.
Tell us your top 3 tips for anyone looking to start SUP?
Just do it! Find a taster session or school and go for it. It’s that simple. Ensure that you have a qualified instructor who will give you the best advice and coaching.
Do you give back to your local community? If so, what do you do?
We hold free cinema nights, an annual paddle event.
What is the weather like for you in winter? Are you able to get in the water?
It’s a mix of wind, rain and sun. It does get cold but we always get out when we can.
What is the typical routine that you would take if you were about to embark on a micro adventure or SUP adventure?
Check our group are ready to go, guides are prepared, equipment, weather, tides, someone knows where we are going and when we are returning and once everything is in place off we go.
Tell us more about your river boarding, it looks epic! ….
It’s a body board with closed sides to help protect the rider. Body boarding down rapids, you can still catch waves, surf and move around, its amazing fun.

Spare leash, spare clothes, first aid kit, spare paddle, communication.
Where has been your favourite place to SUP?
Personally, West Coast Scotland! But our groups love WALES!
What other activities do you get up to apart from SUP?
All our staff white water raft, canoe, kayak, surf, mountain bike, cycle……..
What is a traditional food from Cardiff that you would recommend trying?
It has to be chips from Chippy Lane and maybe a pint of Brains SA for the adults.
